What is your business called and where are you located?

My business is The Skin Artisté and it is located in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania – in Philadelphia’s Main Line.

Can you give a little information about your background as an esthetician?

I’ve been a licensed esthetician for nine years and celebrating the two year anniversary of my business in April 2024!

My journey began by working as a salon manager and then at a spa, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and learned from seasoned professionals in the industry. After years of refining my craft and developing a deep understanding of skin conditions, I took a leap of faith and ventured out on my own. While scary at first, I was confident that my background in business management and my technical skills as an esthetician would lead to my success. I recently hired my first employee to expand The Skin Artisté and I’m so excited for what the future holds!

What inspired you to become an esthetician?

From a young age I always had a passion for esthetics and knew that I wanted to be in the health and beauty industry. I started off in this industry by doing makeup and I grew tired of covering up imperfections. My passion came from wanting to make women feel confident in their bare skin. So that’s how I dove into skincare and went to esthetics school.

What beauty philosophy do you stand by?

My philosophy is that healthy skin can be achieved without overcomplicated routines as long as there is balance and consistency. Your skin is your canvas so its important to protect and nourish it.

What is your favorite treatment?

My favorite treatment is my Skin Artisté Ultimate Hydrafacial. It’s a hypercustomized hydrafacial treatment using Circadia products and includes dermaplaning and a sculptural facial massage. This is my red carpet treatment perfect before an event that leaves the skin nourished and glowing.

What brands do you use and why?

Circadia is a staple in my treatment room and my retail shelves. I’ve used Circadia for seven years now and my clients and I see incredible results. I am an educator for them as well! I also use Face Reality, SkinBetter, Hydrafacial, Glo2Facial, and SkinPen in my business. I find that the combination of these treatments helps me serve a wide range of client skin types and conditions.

What is your secret to beautiful skin?

My secret to beautiful skin is consistency, hydration, protection and nourishment. Avoid the sun during peak times, always wear sunscreen, utilize Circadia Vitamin C Reversal Serum in the morning, and a retinoid product in the evening.

What are your favorite tools to use in the treatment room and why?

I love dermaplaning because I get amazing results and it can be done on mostly all clients! Another amazing tool in my treatment room is my Hydrafacial device. I love that I can customize my treatments with different boosters based on my clients concerns.

What is your favorite part about working for your company?

My favorite part about working for myself is being able to connect with my clients on a more personal level and helping them achieve their skincare goals. I love being able to educate my clients on the products I truly love and believe in and witnessing the positive impact my treatments and recommendations have on their confidence and well-being.
