Signature Treatments

The Couples Retreat is a two and a half hour journey for two. This wellness experience in the Couples Suite is sure to be remembered for years to come. Designed to bring bodies into balance and harmony, it begins with a 90 minute customized massage to ease tension and revitalize muscles. Next is Ocean & Harvest’s signature invigorating sea salt body scrub, which leaves guests’ skin softened and minds relaxed. Lastly, guests enjoy a soak in the aromatherapy bath.

The Ocean Illuminating LED Light Therapy Facial showcases the brightening benefits of micro-algae, to diminish dark spots and wrinkles. Utilizing revolutionary LED light therapy, guests choose between anti-ageing and brightening therapies to reach skin wellness goals. This treatment leaves skin freshly hydrated and with a luminous glow.

Marketing and Training

As with many spas that have such a sterling reputation, referrals and word of mouth are key marketing tools. “Ocean & Harvest also uses social media and select target market advertising to draw in new clients,” notes Komaromy.

Spa staff stay up to date during a daily morning line up, as well as monthly team meetings, quarterly training retreats, and pop up trainings to refresh therapists on services. They also receive an annual training from spa partners.

Revenue and Retail

“The products used in our services sell themselves on the retail side,” says Komaromy. “We partner with local skin care company, Farmaesthetics. Their products are organic and sustainably sourced right here in Rhode Island. We use Farmaesthetics for several of our facials and carry their product line in retail.”

Ocean & Harvest sees a large percentage of business come from massage, about 60 percent, compared to facial (20 percent) and body (20 percent) services.
