| RAISING THE BAR |
Key legislation has been passed in Washington D.C., endorsing the high standards of NCEA certified credentials with the FINAL RULEMAKING that was passed in early January by the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. The measure benefits thousands of estheticians in the District of Columbia who will now be able to hold a Master Esthetician Manager License in the state. “This is a great day for estheticians in the United States, and further shows that the extensive work that the NCEA has been doing on their behalf is paying off,” says NCEA executive director Susanne S. Warfield.

Spa Uniforms’ founder and creative director Noel Asmar has recently completed a creative project for Las Vegas’ CityCenter, the largest private luxury development of its kind in the world. Asmar and Spa Uniforms were selected to create the wardrobe for key staff at CityCenter. Asmar was called upon to develop a comprehensive system of uniforms in four key areas—spa, housekeeping, suiting and fitness. Noel’s team delivered more than 20,000 customized uniforms in less than 90 days. “We embraced the team at CityCenter as though we were one team,” said Asmar. “We made sure we were available at odd hours and on weekends to ensure that questions were answered and solutions were provided in a timely manner. CityCenter selected collections from all of our uniform divisions, we are very proud to be a part of such a groundbreaking and creative enterprise.” Asmar is known throughout the spa and hospitality industry for modernizing the concept of the uniform, taking what was once institutional into the realm of fresh, modern, fashion-forward wearability. www.spauniforms.com
